Foton Motor to set up R&D centre in Germany

China's biggest commercial vehicle producer, Beiqi Foton Motor, will invest €5 million (US$ 6.4 million) to set up a R&D centre in Stuttgart, Germany, media sources have reported.
Foton Motor, a subsidiary of Beijing Automotive Industry Holding (BAIC), said establishing overseas R&D centre is currently an effective way to enhance the company's research and development capacity in battery and electronic control system.
