Honda has introduced the all-new 2014 Jazz in the Philippines, with prices starting at PHP 768,000 (US$ 17,500).

"It is with much pride and joy that we are able to finally launch the third generation Honda Jazz in the Philippines," said Toshio Kuwahara, Honda Cars Philippines President and General Manager. "Known for its fun and youthful vibe, this all new Jazz is sure to bring more joy to your usual mobility".

The 2014 Honda Jazz is an all new model that has been styled around the 'Exciting H Design' and 'Crossfade Monoform Exterior' concepts. The design statement of the Jazz is featured on a body that has grown over the previous generation. The new Jazz measures in at 3955mm long, 1695mm wide and 1525mm tall with a wheelbase of 2530mm.

The car is being imported as a completely built-up unit (CBU) from Thailand.

Interior

Inside, the cabin is designed around the concept of a 'Sophisticated Futuristic Cockpit', according to the company. As such, the Jazz gets details such as the '3-eye' instrument cluster, push start, touch-sensitive interfaces for the entertainment unit's 7-inch screen as well as the climate control.

Honda is also highlighting the superior space and versatility of the Jazz's interior as it still carries the U.L.T. as before (Utility cargo mode, Long cargo mode and Tall cargo mode) as well as a new 'Refresh' mode wherein all the seats can be folded down for relaxing while parked.

Engine

Powering the 2014 is 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine that delivers a maximum power output of 120 PS at 6600 rpm. The 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine is mated to either a Honda's 5-speed Manual Transmission or a new Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT) developed under the Earth Dreams Technology program.

Modulo, Mugen kits

The 2014 Jazz is also being launched with new Modulo accessory body kits as well as a Mugen kit; the latter is notable because unlike the Modulo which is a bolt-on kit, the Mugen actually replaces key exterior pieces including the entire front bumper. Honda has yet to release the pricing for the said kits.

The 2014 Honda Jazz is now available in dealers in Rallye Red (all variants), Taffeta White (all variants), Alabaster Silver Metallic (V variants), Attract Yellow Pearl (VX and VX+), Vivid Sky Blue Pearl (VX and VX+) and Modern Steel Metallic (VX and VX+).
