The official distributor of Subaru vehicles in Hong Kong, MotorImage, has launched the new Forester 2.5XT.

The SUV comes with a turbocharged 2.5-litre flat four developing 230PS of power. It comes with a four-speed SPORTSHIFT transmission.

Talking about the new launch, Richard Lai, general manager of MotorImage, said, "For the driver, the most notable change in the new 2010 Subaru Forester 2.5XT is the redesigned suspension. It offers greater stability and ride comfort. The spring rate has been increased for the front coil springs while the damping force to the front struts and rear shock absorbers has been modified. These improvements further enhance the car's superior handling in any road conditions."

The new Forester has added features for driver comfort and convenience. The major improvement in the interior is in the driver information screens. The speedometer has been redesigned to provide greater clarity for the driver, while the information display now provides instantaneous fuel consumption data.

The one-touch folding rear seats are also a new feature, negating the need to open the rear door to fold them down. "With added comfort and convenience features while retaining its core strengths, this new Forester is actually built better than ever," said Lai. "It does all the things that matter most in an SUV."
