2014 Suzuki Celerio launched in Thailand
www.livelifedrive.com, 29 May '14

Suzuki Motor Thailand today launched its all-new 2014 Suzuki Celerio which enters the market there in three variants, priced from THB 359,000 baht to 488,000 baht (US$ 10,962 to 14,901).

As reported earlier, the Celerio will eventually be launched as the all-new Suzuki Alto in Malaysia, which has been around for some four years.

Back in Thailand and the five-door hatch Celerio features the same K-Series, 1-litre engine (K10B) which has been tuned for a 1 HP improvement and is paired with an automatic CVT transmission unlike our current Malaysian specification Alto's offerings of either a five-speed manual or four-speed automatic.

Performance figures are 68 HP and 90 Nm, with fuel consumption listed at just 5-litres per 100 kilometres in the Thai release.

Compared with the current dimensions of the Suzuki Alto currently in Malaysia, the all-new Celerio is 100 mm longer at 3,600 mm, 70 mm taller at 1,540 mm and has a 65 mm longer wheelbase - the car's width remains the same.

Suzuki Thailand seems quite confident about their new car moving its market.
