ChargEV has announced plans to establish its first electric truck (e-truck) charging hub near the North-South Expressway in Tangkak.
According to the charge point operator, this facility aims to advance the electrification of commercial fleets, a key aspect of sustainable transportation. Ahead of the official launch, the Ministry of Energy Transition and Water Transformation (PETRA) was provided with an early preview of the hub.
In a social media post, the company commented, "While this was just a preview, the hub is intended to become an integral part of the EV network along the PLUS highway, facilitating seamless and reliable travel."
The hub will not be limited to e-trucks, as it will also cater to electric passenger vehicle owners, allowing them to charge their vehicles. This was confirmed by the company in response to public inquiries.
