Chery to build car assembly headquarter in Brazil

China's automakers Chery, to build car assembly headquarters in Brazil.

Fresh funds of Rp 6.27 trillion (US$ 700 million) has been prepared to provide the facility. The factory will reportedly stand in Town Jacarei, east of the capital city of Sao Paulo. A strategic position which is connected with the Rio de Janeiro.

Development project will roll in 2013 with a capacity of 150,000-170,000 units per year. This ambitious plan expressed Steal Luís, Brazil Chery's Chief Executive Officer, in the first launching Face in Sao Paulo on August 10th.

Chery Face will become the prime units to be produced in Brasil. This hatchback will be equipped 1.3 L engine. Currently, Chery has the Tiggo crossover since 2009. Addition to this, there is also a compact car Cielo but with a minimal sale of only 403 units in July 2010.
