Interior and feature updates
The Basalt X Max incorporates interior updates including slanted pattern imprints on the dashboard, bronze-coloured trim pieces, and new tan-and-black upholstery. The dashboard is wrapped in leatherette.
The X Max trim also includes an expanded feature set. It introduces Cara, a Citroen-developed in-car conversational assistant available exclusively in the Basalt X Max automatic variants.
Cara supports functions such as real-time flight status tracking, traffic and route optimisation aligned with flight schedules, vehicle health monitoring, multimedia support, calling and SOS functions, and smart reminders.
Additional features of the Basalt X Max include ventilated seats, cruise control, keyless entry, push-button start/stop, white ambient lighting, LED fog lamps, an auto-dimming IRVM, and an optional 360-degree camera.
Engine and gearbox
The Basalt X trim retains the same engine options as the existing Max variants. It offers a 110 PS, 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder turbo-petrol engine, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed torque converter automatic gearbox. Entry-level Basalt X variants are equipped with an 82 PS, 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder petrol engine with a 5-speed manual transmission.
