Preparations are underway for the introduction of Kia's updated model in Taiwan, where it will arrive with its second facelift following its overseas debut.

Official information confirms that the updated compact SUV is preparing to enter the local market, and prototype test vehicles have been observed undergoing road testing in Taiwan.

The model was first introduced in international markets last September. Recent promotional material has disclosed preliminary details regarding the vehicle's product planning and launch timeline.

Although classified as a minor facelift, the exterior design has been revised.

Updates include T-shaped headlights and hook-inspired tail-lights. The design language follows Kia's current SUV styling direction and shares similarities with design elements used in vehicles developed within the same corporate group as Hyundai Motor Company.

The front grille retains Kia's tiger-nose styling and differs from that of the outgoing model.

Inside the cabin, the facelift includes a redesigned steering wheel and an integrated dual 12.3-inch digital display panel. The climate control system has been changed to a touch-based interface, and the model also features an electronic parking brake.

Full specifications and powertrain details for the Taiwan-market version have not yet been officially disclosed and are expected to be confirmed at a later stage.

Regarding the local launch schedule, industry sources indicate that the release may take place earlier than previously expected. Kia is reportedly planning to hold a media event related to the facelifted model in mid-March.

It remains unclear whether the vehicle will officially debut in Taiwan during that event; however, additional product details and market positioning are expected to be announced at that time.
