Honda Crider to be launched in China on June 26th

The China-only Honda Crider sedan will be launched in the domestic market on June 26th. The Crider, which will be made in China by the Guangzhou-Honda joint venture, will be positioned under the Honda Accord, and priced at CNY 130,000-160,000 (US$ 21200-26100). The Honda Crider debuted as an almost-ready on last month's Shanghai Auto Show, design is based on the Honda Concept C that debuted on the 2012 Beijing Auto Show. Power comes from a 1.8 with 139 PS and 172 Nm; a 2.0 might be added to the line-up later. The Crider will compete with cars such as the Volkswagen Sagitar, Citroen C4L and the upcoming Hyundai Mistra and Ford Escort. All are relatively small sedans with an upmarket look & feel.
