Honda Prospect exports 6,000 units of BR-V to 29 countries

Honda Prospect Motors has commenced export of the all new Honda BR-V to several countries in the Caribbean, namely Barbados, St. Lucia, and Trinidad and Tobago.
President director of Honda Prospect Motor, Takehiro Watanabe said his party would increase the number of export destinations for the all new Honda BR-V to around 30 countries around the world. In total, PT HPM will export as many as 6,000 units of the all new Honda BR-V until December 2022.
The all new Honda BR-V model for the export market is produced at the HPM factory in Karawang, West Java. In December 2021, HPM held a ceremonial event for the first production of this model at the HPM Karawang factory.
"The Honda BR-V is a special model because it was developed through a series of research on the tastes and needs of the Indonesian people. After being very well received by consumers in Indonesia, we believe that the all new Honda BR-V, which is produced with international standards and quality, can be accepted in other countries," he said in the release of BRV exports, recently.
Prior to the Honda BR-V, HPM had exported Honda Brio to Vietnam and the Philippines since 2019. HPM has also exported Honda Freed to several countries such as Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, and South Africa from 2009 to 2014. Apart from cars, HPM also exported car components since 1992 to various countries including Japan, Thailand, Malaysia, Vietnam, Taiwan, India, Pakistan, Mexico and Brazil.
Yusak Billy, director, business innovation, sales and marketing of Honda Prospect Motor, said that his party targets Honda's exports of around 10,000 units. "By the end of 2022, we are targeting exports of 10,000 units consisting of 6,000 units of BRV and 4,000 units of Brio," said Billy.
