Honda launches updated City

The Honda City sedan has received an updated feature set as part of its facelift for buyers in Malaysia, now including a 360-degree view camera on the RS petrol and RS e:HEV hybrid variants.
This addition incurs no extra cost, with the City RS petrol priced at MYR 99,900 (US$ 24,400) and the RS e:HEV hybrid at MYR 111,900, both on-the-road without insurance.
No other mechanical or feature changes have been made; the camera is the only new addition to the vehicle, which was launched in its refreshed form in August 2023.
The City sedan is also offered in three other petrol variants - the S, E, and V - with prices ranging from MYR 84,900 to MYR 94,900.
All petrol variants, including the RS petrol, are powered by a 1.5-litre naturally aspirated inline-four DOHC i-VTEC engine producing 121 PS (119 hp or 89 kW) at 6,600 rpm and 145 Nm of torque at 4,300 rpm.
The RS e:HEV hybrid is equipped with a 109 PS (107 hp or 80 kW) and 253 Nm electric motor, supplemented by a 98 PS/127 Nm Atkinson-cycle 1.5-litre engine. This engine primarily functions as a generator but can also drive the vehicle at higher speeds, where it is more efficient, through a single-speed transmission with a lock-up clutch.
Six exterior colour options are available for the City in Malaysia: Phoenix orange pearl (introduced in March for the sedan as a MYR 400 option), ignite red metallic, meteoroid gray metallic, platinum white pearl, crystal black pearl and lunar silver metallic. The latter two shades are exclusive to the petrol variants.
