Honda to launch all-new Step WGN at GIIAS 2025

Honda Prospect Motor (HPM) has showcased its hybrid vehicle, the Step WGN e:HEV, at the Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) 2024.
The model was presented solely for display purposes and is not yet available for public sale.
Despite this, public interest in the vehicle has been notably strong. One year after its initial debut, HPM has confirmed that the Step WGN will be officially launched at the GIIAS 2025 event, scheduled for July 2025.
Customers interested in reserving the vehicle may place pre-orders through the official website, Honda-Indonesia.com, or at authorised Honda dealerships beginning 18th June 2025.
According to information provided by Honda sales representatives, a booking fee of IDR 10 million (US$ 610) is required to secure a pre-order for the Step WGN.
"For the Step WGN, pre-orders are available with a booking fee of IDR 10 million," stated a Honda salesperson on 18th June 2025.
The Step WGN is classified as a multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) and features a boxy design. The model has been part of Honda's line-up in Japan since 1996.
Details regarding the engine specifications have not yet been fully disclosed by Honda. However, in the Japanese market, the hybrid variant is equipped with a 2.0-litre petrol engine paired with an electric motor.
This configuration delivers a maximum output of 145 PS and 175 Nm of torque, transmitted to the front wheels.
