Jetour Indonesia plans to introduce an electrified variant of the T2 in the Indonesian market, with the model scheduled for launch in the second half of 2026.
Detailed specifications and features of the T2 plug-in hbrid electric vehicle (PHEV) have not yet been fully disclosed by the manufacturer.
The marketing director of Jetour Sales Indonesia, Moch Ranggy Radiansyah, stated that the planned launch of the model remains on schedule.
"So, it's still on track. We're targeting the launch in the second half of 2026 for the PHEV version," Ranggy said in Jakarta on March 10th, 2026.
Radiansyah explained that the T2 has been designed as an SUV capable of operating in various road conditions. In terms of design, the vehicle is intended to remain suitable for urban use, while its supporting features are expected to accommodate everyday driving requirements.
"If we're talking about SUVs, this actually falls into the light off-road category. So the concept is more of an adventure vehicle," he said.
"We can't say this is an SUV that's truly focused on heavy off-roading. However, this vehicle can be used in both realms," Ranggy said.
"However, when taken to light off-road terrain, this vehicle is still capable of accommodating it," he further added.
The model is expected to appeal to consumers seeking an SUV with adventure-oriented characteristics while remaining suitable for daily urban driving.
