Immediately after its global debut at the EICMA exhibition at the end of 2023, Kawasaki Ninja 500 was launched in the Vietnamese market with a version priced at VND 192 million (US$ 7,500).
Kawasaki Ninja 500 has 2 Standard and Special versions in the international market, but in Vietnam there will only be 1 version.
Compared to the previous Ninja 400 model, the Ninja 500 has not changed much, the front of the model is designed angularly and fine-tuned. The headlights use LED lenses with daytime running lights. The bottom integrates a small wing inspired by the ZX-4R superbike model.
In addition, the Ninja 500 is equipped with a new engine block with a larger capacity of 52cc than the Ninja 400 and still uses 2 in-line cylinders. The model has 52 PS at 10,000 rpm and 42.6 Nm torque at 6,000 rpm with a 6-speed transmission with integrated clutch against rear wheel lock.
The model still uses the suspension system as a pair of 41 mm telescopic front shock absorbers, the rear is a single shock absorber set in the middle, both the front and rear shock absorbers are not fully adjustable. The brake system is still a 2-piston front brake clamp with a 310 mm single disc and a 1 piston rear brake clamp with a 220 mm disc. The saddle height is 780mm.
In terms of equipment, the model can connect a smartphone and Kipass smart lock through a TFT electronic screen showing operating parameters.
