Kia has expanded its electric vehicle portfolio with the introduction of the EV4 in Singapore. This electric sedan joins the EV5 SUV, EV6 crossover, and EV9 seven-seater SUV, bringing the brand's local electric lineup to four models.
Built on Kia's Global Modular Platform (E-GMP), the EV4 features a "Star Map" lighting signature at the front, vertical taillights, and a two-piece spoiler at the rear. Sculpted surfaces and character lines extend across the body.
The vehicle measures 4,730 mm in length, 1,860 mm in width, and 1,480 mm in height. The wheelbase extends to 2,820 mm, contributing to interior space. The EV4 has a drag coefficient of 0.23, making it Kia's most aerodynamic production model.
The interior includes a free-floating interface and a minimalist layout. A panoramic display integrates a 12.3-inch digital driver cluster, a 5.3-inch climate control display, and a 12.3-inch infotainment touchscreen. Frequently used functions are accessible via physical controls. A tilting and sliding panoramic sunroof is included, along with a sound system.
The EV4 provides 490 litres of cargo capacity, expandable to 1,680 litres with the rear seats folded. High-output USB-C ports supply up to 100 W for device charging.
The EV4 is powered by a fourth-generation electric powertrain with thermal management and an EV6-derived heat pump. The front-wheel-drive configuration produces 150 kW (204 PS) and 283 Nm of torque, allowing acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds.
A 58.3 kWh battery supports the motor, offering a range of up to 546 km (WLTP city) with an energy consumption of 6.7 km/kWh. Charging from 10% to 80% takes 29 minutes with a 150 kW DC charger, or three hours and 43 minutes with an 11 kW AC charger.
Driver-assistance features include a 12-inch head-up display with augmented reality navigation and a Surround View Monitor system providing 360-degree visibility.
The EV4 is available at a launch price of SGD 225,999 (US$ 175,710).
