Mober, an electric vehicle logistics company based in the Philippines, has recently expanded into Thailand. This development is part of its plan to broaden sustainable delivery services across Southeast Asia.
The first phase of the rollout includes 21 electric trucks operating in Bangkok's Bang Na district, primarily serving IKEA Thailand's last-mile delivery operations. To support these operations, Mober has established a 1,600-square-metre charging hub equipped with four 22-kW chargers and two 60-kW fast chargers. The facility is expected to handle approximately 150 to 200 delivery drops per day.
"Mober has introduced its green logistics model to Thailand," stated Jade Hugo, Co-Founder and Head of New Business at Mober. "The company expects its operations to contribute to the logistics sector and align with Thailand's urban sustainability initiatives."
The expansion follows other developments by Mober earlier in the year. In February, the company launched what it described as the Philippines' first fully electric tractor head truck for heavy-duty logistics. In March, it opened a 3,000-square-metre EV charging hub in the Philippines, which includes 56 charging ports.
"The expansion into Thailand is consistent with the company's objective to operate as a green logistics provider in Southeast Asia," said Dennis Ng, Chief Executive Officer of Mober. "This includes not only deploying electric vehicles but also building supporting infrastructure."
Mober plans to expand its Thai operations further by early 2026. The company is also pursuing additional funding to continue growing its fleets in both the Philippines and Thailand.
The launch in Thailand follows Mober's inclusion in 'Forbes Asia's 100 to Watch List', a recognition of companies identified as emerging businesses within the region. Mober was acknowledged at the 'Forbes Asia 100 to Watch Forum' held on 20 May 2025 in Singapore.
"Mober continues to focus on supporting businesses in reducing carbon emissions through logistics solutions that do not require upfront investment," Ng further added. "The company will maintain its efforts to scale operations across the region."
