Peugeot 308CC headed for Thailand
Segment Y, 22 May '09

Peugeot has announced that its 308CC will go on sale in Thailand later in the year. While the exact launch date has not yet been specified, the 308CC is expected to be priced at around 3 million baht (US$ 88,200), which is slightly higher than the outgoing 307CC (2.66 million baht).

In the Thai market, the 308CC will have practically no competition in its price class, since its traditional European-market rivals - the Renault Mégane CC, Ford Focus CC and the Volkswagen EOS - are not sold there, even as CBUs.

As for the engine, the 308CC will come with a turbocharged 1.6-litre petrol with 140hp, as against the 307CC's 2.0-litre 136hp normally aspirated unit.
