Ahead of its mid-year showroom arrival, pricing details for the 2026 Suzuki e-Vitara electric SUV indicate that the most affordable variant will be approximately AUD 7,200 to AUD 8,400 (US$ 5,200 to 6,070) more expensive than a top-of-the-range BYD Atto 2 in Australia.
In most parts of Australia, the e-Vitara is now available to order with "pre-order pricing" set at AUD 46,990 drive-away for the front-wheel-drive Motion and AUD 56,990 drive-away for the all-wheel-drive Ultra. This offer applies to the first 100 customers or until July 1st, 2026, whichever occurs earlier.
Following the expiry of this offer, prices will increase to AUD 49,990 drive-away for the Motion FWD and AUD 58,990 drive-away for the Ultra AWD nationwide.
The entry-level e-Vitara's pre-order pricing is AUD 1,000 higher than that of the top-spec Vitara petrol mild-hybrid, while aligning with the Kia EV3 Air in most states. This model has a claimed range of 436km compared to 344km for the e-Vitara, along with higher power output and a five-star safety rating, compared with the e-Vitara's four-star rating.
It is also approximately AUD 11,700 to AUD 13,230 more expensive than the base-model BYD Atto 2, or AUD 7,200 to AUD 8,400 more than the flagship grade.
Meanwhile, the Ultra AWD's regular price is similar to that of the BYD Sealion 7 Premium (AUD 57,974 to AUD 60,789), which is positioned in a higher size category and has additional features and a longer range.
These prices apply to all regions of Australia except Queensland and northern New South Wales, where Suzuki vehicles are sold by a different distributor.
The distributor is offering launch deals on all orders placed by July 31st, 2026, providing a discount of AUD 2,000 from the regular prices. This reduces the Motion from AUD 49,990 to AUD 47,990 drive-away, and the Ultra AWD from AUD 58,990 to AUD 56,990 drive-away.
An Ultra front-wheel-drive grade, not offered in other regions, is also available, priced from AUD 52,990 drive-away for the first three months, or AUD 54,990 thereafter.
The e-Vitara is Suzuki's first electric vehicle in Australia and is manufactured in India as part of a partnership with Toyota, which also produces a similar Urban Cruiser version for overseas markets.
Measuring 4,275mm in length, 1,800mm in width, and 1,635mm in height, with a 2,700mm wheelbase, it is similar in size to a Mazda CX-3 petrol SUV or the BYD Atto 2 EV.
The Motion variant is powered by a 106 kW/193 Nm front electric motor paired with a 49 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, with a claimed range of 344km under European WLTP testing.
The Ultra all-wheel-drive grade features dual motors - 128 kW at the front and 48 kW at the rear - for a combined output of 135 kW and 307 Nm. Its 61 kWh LFP battery has a claimed WLTP range of 396km.
The front-wheel-drive Ultra, producing 128 kW and equipped with a 61 kWh battery, has a claimed WLTP range of 426km. This variant will not be available outside Queensland and northern New South Wales.
Suzuki states that charging from 10 to 80 per cent takes approximately 45 minutes across all variants. An 11 kW AC home charger is stated to replenish the same amount of energy in four hours and 30 minutes for the Motion, or five hours and 30 minutes for the Ultra.
The entry-level variant is equipped as standard with 18-inch alloy wheels, LED headlights, a 10.1-inch touchscreen, a 10.25-inch instrument display, climate control, and a 360-degree camera.
Ultra grade features include fabric and leather-look upholstery, heated front seats, a power-adjustable driver's seat, wireless phone charging, and a glass roof.
