Tata Power EV Charging Solutions Limited (TPEVCSL), a subsidiary of Tata Power Renewable Energy, has signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with VE Commercial Vehicles (VECV) to support the adoption of electric commercial vehicles in India, focusing on the Eicher Pro X range of small commercial vehicles.
Under the partnership, the two companies will collaborate to assist truck and bus operators in integrating electric vehicles into their fleets.
Tata Power will provide access to its EV charging network and customised charging solutions, while VECV will offer expertise in energy efficiency to optimise energy use in electric trucks and ensure vehicles meet operational requirements.
The collaboration will engage with Eicher Trucks and Buses customers to address challenges such as range limitations, charging infrastructure availability, and operational costs.
It will also support the deployment of additional models across Eicher's electric vehicle portfolio.
Tata Power has expanded its EV charging network under the EZ Charge brand, including home chargers, public and fleet charging points, and e-bus charging infrastructure across multiple cities and towns.
