Toyota launches facelifted Corolla in Thailand

Toyota Motor Thailand on August 5th launched the facelifted Corolla saloon, which comes with new wheels, bumpers, grille and head lights. The interior fascia has also been slightly tweaked. Moreover, Toyota took the opportunity to update the mechanical bits with the latest ZR-FE petrol engine range in place of the older ZZ-FE. The 1.6 now produces 122hp/154Nm, 1.8 does 140hp/173Nm and 2.0 makes 145hp/187Nm. The 2.0 and 1.8 comes with an all-new CVT automatic transmission with seven-speed manual shift mode, while the 1.6 sees a six-speed manual 'box. Meanwhile, the 1.6 CNG version maintains the old 109hp/145Nm 1.6 3ZZ-FE unit. Prices range from THB 744,000 (US$ 23,100) for 1.6 CNG to THB 1.204 million for the 2.0 Navi range-topper.
