Volvo-Eicher Commercial Vehicles (VECV) has launched a new medium-duty truck in the 9-9.5 tonne payload segment under the Eicher brand. VECV is an equal joint venture between Eicher and the Swedish truck maker.

Called the 'Eicher 11.14', the company expects this to be a "game changer" in the segment due to better operating economics. It sports a modern design and strong features list - power steering, bigger tyres and more power. It also claims best-in-class fuel efficiency.

Mr. Vinod Aggarwal, CEO of VECV said, "Its value delivery at relatively lower cost is all set to bring about a profitable change in the way the 9-9.5 tonne payload capacity trucks operate in India"

The Eicher 11.14 can be used as a tanker, for parcel service, machinery transport, pharma and also to move gas cylinders.
