Wuling is expected to introduce a new model to the Indonesian market soon.
The Chinese manufacturer has registered the name "Almaz Darion" in the Intellectual Property Database of the Directorate General of Intellectual Property, Ministry of Law and Human Rights of the Republic of Indonesia. The registration is under the name of SAIC-GM-Wuling Automobile, headquartered in Guangxi, China.
According to available data, the Almaz Darion will be offered with two powertrain options: a Battery Electric Vehicle (BEV) variant and a Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) variant.
The "Darion" name is already present within the brand's line-up, as Wuling previously launched the Cortez Darion at the GIIAS 2025 event, which was based on the Starlight 730. The Almaz Darion is expected to be based on the Starlight 560.
In the Chinese market, the model features wheel arches, straight lines, and rectangular headlamps with two horizontal LED light strips, combined with a black mask surrounding a three-dimensional grille. The styling is influenced by the Hong Guang X Concept 2020.
The vehicle has a two-tone body finish, with a contrasting white roof and decorative detailing on the D-pillar, separating the side profile. The profile includes a higher stance, defined contour lines, and black plastic cladding along the lower body.
At the rear, the design incorporates high-mounted horizontal tail lamps with a lighting signature similar to that of the front, and a tailgate with an integrated top spoiler. The model is planned for introduction to the Indonesian market.
