Yamaha Indonesia Motor Manufacturing (YIMM) is set to launch a new motorbike this week, specifically on 7th March.
A teaser for the new model was shared via Yamaha's official social media account (yamahaindonesia) in a short video. The motorbike itself was not revealed, but it was confirmed to feature hybrid technology.
''Although it's fast, it's still fuel-efficient. 7th March 2025. Stay tuned!'' wrote Yamaha Indonesia in the video caption.
The video is simple, depicting a long navigation route. It includes the text ''Time to Go Farther and Efficiently,'' along with ''New Hybrid'' and the motorbike's launch date.
Regarding Yamaha's hybrid technology, it is likely to be the same system used in the Fazzio and Grand Filano. This means it will function as a booster during initial acceleration and include a start/stop system for improved efficiency.
As for the engine, it may be the same 125cc unit found in other Yamaha models, such as the Mio M3, Gear 125, or even the FreeGo. However, Yamaha could still have a surprise in store on 7th March launch may introduce an entirely new model that has never been available in Indonesia before.
