BMW launches X5 xDrive30d in Thailand
Bangkok Post, 13 Aug '10

BMW (Thailand) is importing the facelifted X5, which comes with a tweaked appearance and improved performance.

Power of the 3.0-litre inline-six turbo-diesel remains at 218hp (due to tax reason) but torque climbs by 40Nm up to 540Nm. There's also a new eight-speed automatic transmission replacing the six-speeder. As a result, average economy is better at 13.6kpl.

The price has been set at THB 6.399 million (US$ 198,100) - THB 100,000 more than before. For the first time, the seven-seat version is also on offer in Highline trim (including sat-nav system), costing THB 6.999 million.
