BYD brings new hybrid technology to local market

BYD has now released a new version of its plug-in hybrid technology in Nepal.
The company has recently released the fifth generation of hybrid technology 'Dual Mode' (DM). Using this technology, the company has also brought two cars of Queen L and Seal 06 models.
Both these cars are equipped with a 1.5 litre plug-in hybrid petrol engine. Also, the car has the option of BYD blade battery in 10.08 and 15.87 kWh options.
The electric motor installed in it generates 160 kW of power and 260 Nm of torque, while the power of the engine is 74 kW and torque of 126 Nm.
According to the company, the vehicle using the new technology used 2.9 litres of fuel to travel 100 km. The company claims that its total range is 2,100 km when the battery is fully charged and the tank is filled with oil.
This new technology of BYD is expected to compete strongly with the hybrid technology giant Toyota. The vehicle with plug-in hybrid technology can be powered by a rechargeable battery along with a petrol engine. It helps to improve the fuel consumption of the vehicle and save the price.
