China auto sales, production to exceed 10 million by June

According to data released by the China Association of Automobile Manufacturers (CAAM), the domestic auto industry produced a total of 9.07 million vehicles in the first five months of the year, with sales totalling 9.02 million. It is expected that cumulative production and sales figures for the year will easily touch 10 million units by the end of June. According to CAAM data, production and sales numbers for the month of May touched 1.78 million and 1.76 million units, repsectively, with exports accounting for 86,400 units. Exports totalled 402,300 units in the first five months.
