Sokonindo Automobile (DFSK) will export 30 DFSK Glory 580 produced in Serang, Banten to Hong Kong in November 2019. DFSK cooperates with Vasplex Motor Co. Limited as an official distributor in Hong Kong with an export target of 1,000 units in 2020.

Franz Wang, managing director of sales centre of Sokonindo Automobile said that Hong Kong is an Asian financial city and a major market for world-class automotive brands and one of the highest stages in the right-hand drive export market in Asia.

"Now as of November 2019, the first batch of DFSK Glory 580 produced at the Sokonindo Automobile factory has successfully completed the customs process and officially entered the Hong Kong automotive market," he said in an official statement.

Hong Kong became the next DFSK export destination because it had previously shipped Super Cab to the Philippines. The exported DFSK Glory 580 is a seven-seater city sport utility vehicle (SUV) model with Euro 5 emission standards.

All marketing of DFSK vehicles in Hong Kong will be carried out by Vasplex Motor Co. Limited as an official distributor and a business partner of Sokonindo Automobile.

As an export initiation entering the Hong Kong market, Vasplex Motor Co. Limited brought in 30 units of DFSK Glory 580 1.5 CVT Comfort imported in completely built up (CBU) from a factory located in Serang, Banten.

The quantity of exports to Hong Kong will be added every month and targeted to reach 1,000 units in 2020. DFSK Glory 580 is claimed to offer luxury design typical of European cars, spacious cabin, safety features that provide a sense of security, to the toughness of performance thanks to turbocharged technology .

DFSK stated that with the opening of the Hong Kong market through the DFSK Glory 580, it completes the portfolio recognition of the quality of DFSK vehicles from various countries. Currently DFSK vehicles produced in Indonesia have been exported to various countries such as Sri Lanka, Myanmar, the Philippines, Morocco, Bangladesh, Nepal, Tanzania, and Vietnam.

Franz Wang said as a global manufacturing base, factories in Indonesia became the main foundation for DFSK's overseas business with the One Belt concept, One Road. DFSK Indonesia has played an important role as a bridge for the Sokon Group to develop its business throughout the world.
