On 25th March, Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën, the joint venture between Dongfeng Motor and Stellantis, officially launched its proprietary new energy vehicle brand, HEDMOS.
The brand's first model, the HEDMOS 06, is expected to commence pre-sales in the second quarter of 2025, with official deliveries beginning in May.
The HEDMOS brand logo, inspired by a compass, symbolises direction and guidance. The name "HEDMOS" is derived from the words "HEAD" and "MOST," representing leadership and excellence. The brand adopts a distinctive "light French aesthetics" design philosophy, characterised by sharp lines, dynamic curves, elegant arcs, and sculpted surfaces.
HEDMOS primarily targets existing Dongfeng Peugeot-Citroën customers seeking to upgrade to a new energy vehicle. The brand aims to integrate intelligent cockpits and advanced high-level intelligent driving, with plans to develop L3 automated driving, solid-state batteries, and AI-driven interaction technologies.
The HEDMOS 06 has already been filed with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT). Built on Dongfeng Motor's advanced electric modular architecture, the vehicle measures 4,670mm in length, 1,900mm in width, and 1,617mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,775mm.
The interior of the HEDMOS 06 features a digital instrument panel, a floating central touchscreen, and a dual-spoke multifunction steering wheel. The centre console has a layered design, hexagonal air vents, and a structured armrest with storage compartments, USB ports, and cup holders.
The HEDMOS 06 is powered by a 160kW electric motor, enabling acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds.
It is equipped with a 62.3kWh battery, providing a CLTC range of 520 km. Fast charging capabilities allow the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in 28 minutes. The chassis features a front MacPherson and rear multi-link independent suspension setup.
