Boon Siew Honda, the official distributor of Honda motorcycles in Malaysia, has introduced the all-new X-ADV.
The latest model features cosmetic enhancements, new colour options, and advanced technologies, further enhancing the appeal of this adventure-style maxi-scooter.
Colour options
The new X-ADV is available in four colour options: Matte Deep Mud Gray, Pearl Glare White, Graphite Black, and Matte Goldfinch Yellow.
Engine and transmission
The new X-ADV is powered by a 745-cc, 8-valve, parallel twin-cylinder engine that complies with Euro 5 emission standards. This engine delivers a maximum power output of 57.8 PS at 6,750 rpm and a peak torque of 69 Nm at 4,750 rpm.
Although the engine remains unchanged, the 6-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT) has received significant upgrades. With throttle-by-wire optimisation, the gearbox now offers smoother operation during starting, stopping, and low-speed manoeuvres such as U-turns.
It features five selectable riding modes - Standard, Sport, Rain, Gravel, and a customisable USER mode - providing more refined and adaptive shifting.
Design and materials
The updated X-ADV exhibits sharper and more aggressive bodywork with rugged fairings. Honda has integrated sustainable materials, including recycled plastics and biomass plastic (Durabio), into the scooter's bodywork, panels, and covers.
The 2025 model is equipped with new dual LED projector headlights paired with daytime running lights and indicators. Utilising Honda's 'hidden eye' technique, these lights are designed to enhance visibility.
The scooter's windshield has been redesigned for easier adjustment, offering three-step customisability. The seat has been reshaped and now includes thicker urethane foam for improved comfort. The seat height is set at 820 mm, with an optional 920 mm seat available, while a wider handlebar further enhances rider comfort.
A 22-litre under-seat storage compartment provides ample space to accommodate a full-size adventure-style helmet. This compartment also features an upgraded LED light and a new luggage divider to prevent items from shifting during rides.
Wheels and tyres
The new X-ADV is fitted with 17-inch front and 15-inch rear wheels, wrapped in 120/70 R and 160/60 R tyres, respectively, ensuring stability and traction across various terrains.
In summary, the all-new Honda X-ADV combines advanced technology, refined engineering, and improved comfort, making it a versatile choice for both urban commuting and off-road adventures.
