The market share of domestic electric vehicles (EVs) is increasing, supported by a wider range of EV models and an expanding network of charging stations.

In addition to charging facilities developed by automakers, third-party charging operators are emerging across Taiwan, offering greater convenience and flexibility for EV owners.

However, factors such as location, accessibility, and user experience are becoming key considerations in the selection of charging stations.

EVOASIS, a prominent player in Taiwan's EV charging industry, has significantly grown its network. The company currently operates over 400 DC fast charging stations and 600 AC charging piles, making it the largest EV charging network in the country. EVOASIS aims to expand its network further by 2025, with a target of 800 DC fast chargers.

The network's coverage extends beyond urban areas to include highway service areas, in partnership with major entities such as PetroChina, Taiwan Sugar, Uni-President, Carrefour, Breeze, and Licker. The company has also introduced 360 kW superchargers at key national highway service areas, including Xihu, Nantou, and Guanmiao on National Highway 3, and Dongcaotun Rest Stop on National Highway 6, providing an efficient charging option for long-distance travellers.

EVOASIS is becoming a preferred choice for EV charging along national highways.

At a recent year-end event, EVOASIS outlined its future plans for Taiwan's charging infrastructure. Chairman Tao Baiqun highlighted the company's position in the domestic market and its aim to increase the number of charging piles.

EVOASIS also plans to cooperate with other charging operators, such as ZTE, to enable users to access charging stations across different networks without switching apps.

To improve user experience, EVOASIS will launch its "Charging Oasis" service in Taipei City by the end of 2024. This service, supported by EVOASIS smart AC chargers with "plug-and-charge" functionality, will allow EV owners to charge instantly by simply parking at compatible stations.

The service will cover key districts, including Da'an, Zhongshan, Zhongzheng, Neihu, Wenshan, Songshan, Xinyi, and Nangang, providing an efficient charging solution for urban users.

Vice Chairman Zheng Xujie also shared EVOASIS's plan to expand internationally, with an aim to enter the Japanese market, a popular destination for Taiwanese travellers.

The company seeks to extend Taiwanese innovation to global markets and explore new opportunities abroad. EVOASIS also plans to go public, with an initial public offering (IPO) targeted for 2026 on the Taiwan Stock Exchange.

As EVOASIS continues to expand both domestically and internationally, its efforts are set to contribute to the growing adoption of electric vehicles and influence the development of the EV charging infrastructure.
