Evera begins acquisition of BluSmart's EV fleet after service suspension

Evera Cabs, operated by Prakriti Mobility, has begun acquiring electric cabs previously operated by BluSmart, following the latter's suspension of services in major metropolitan areas, including Delhi, Mumbai, and Bengaluru.
As part of this process, Evera has committed to acquiring 500 electric vehicles, with 220 already repossessed through arrangements with lenders. The company has outlined a broader acquisition plan targeting up to 1,000 BluSmart cabs, aimed at expanding its operational capacity, particularly in the airport mobility segment.
Evera, which has operated in the B2B EV sector for five years and has provided airport services since 2022, is increasing its fleet to address the gap created by BluSmart's withdrawal.
The company's current focus is on redeploying the acquired vehicles at Indira Gandhi International Airport to support its existing operations.
In a statement, Nimish Trivedi, Co-Founder and CEO of Evera, stated that the company plans to integrate previously used vehicles and drivers to maintain operational continuity. The service model excludes cancellations and dynamic pricing.
The company has onboarded approximately 150 former BluSmart drivers, and further recruitment is underway to support the larger fleet. About 10% of the newly recruited drivers are women.
In the next stage, Evera intends to extend its services to all terminals at Delhi Airport. Previously operating only at Terminal 3, the expanded fleet will enable full-terminal service coverage.
Evera is an electric cab service based at Indira Gandhi International Airport and operated by Prakriti E-Mobility.
The company offers app-based transport services for corporate and individual customers, using electric vehicles and trained drivers.
