Chinese automotive brands are increasingly entering the Singapore market.

The latest company to commence operations is JMEV, which has introduced its first model in the country - the Elight EV.

Following a showroom launch at Telok Mansions, the Elight EV was presented as the only model currently offered by the JMEV brand in Singapore.

The Elight is a front-wheel-drive four-door coupe, also categorised as a saloon.

It is fitted with a 63 kWh battery and delivers a power output of 108 kW and 225 Nm of torque, placing it within the Cat-A COE classification.

The model has a WLTP urban range of 600 km, and supports DC fast charging, enabling the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in 30 minutes.

Standard exterior equipment includes matrix LED headlights and automatic headlamps with height adjustment. The electric folding side mirrors include a heating function to address condensation.

Other exterior features comprise flush door handles with proximity-based locking and unlocking, a panoramic moonroof, frameless wipers, and 17-inch alloy wheels.

The interior accommodates five occupants and features leather-trimmed seats. Both the driver and front passenger seats offer six-way power adjustment.

A 14.6-inch multimedia screen is positioned on the dashboard, alongside a 7.0-inch digital instrument display showing data such as speed, odometer readings, and remaining range. The vehicle provides 410 litres of cargo space at the rear.

The Elight includes several standard advanced driver-assistance system (ADAS) features, such as a 360-degree panoramic camera, automatic emergency braking, electric parking brake, and cruise control.

Five exterior colour options are available: Aurora White, Marble Black, Moonlit Purple, Future Cyan, and Crystal Blue. The interior is offered in either Sandstone Dual or Midnight Black.

In connection with SG60, JMEV has set a promotional price of SGD 156,888 (US$ 121,960) for the Elight, inclusive of the Certificate of Entitlement (COE). This represents a reduction of SGD 60,000 from the regular price of SGD 216,888. The offer is valid until 6th August 2025.
