Lepas launches all-new L6 EV

Lepas has officially launched the L6 electric vehicle (EV) SUV in Thailand, making the country the first Southeast Asian market to launch a model from Chery's newest sub-brand.
Fully imported (CBU) from China, the L6 is available in two variants, priced from THB 769,900 (US$ 22,885) for the Comfort variant to THB 829,900 for the Premium variant.
It measures 4,570 mm in length, 1,852 mm in width, and 1,683 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. It is positioned as the middle model in the Lepas range and is similarly sized to other C-segment EV SUV such as the Proton eMAS 7 (stylised as e.MAS 7) and the BYD Atto 3.
The exterior design features 'Hunting Eye' LED headlights at the front and a rear light bar, integrated with smooth body contours. The vehicle is equipped with 19-inch dual-tone alloy wheels.
On the inside, it features an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster paired with a 13.2-inch portrait-oriented infotainment display that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The vehicle also features a leather interior with zig-zag stitching, an 18-speaker Sony sound system, 50-watt wireless charging, ambient lighting, and a panoramic sunroof.
Both variants of the L6 EV use the same front-wheel-drive (FWD) electric motor configuration. The motor produces 218 PS and 275 Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 7.9 seconds.
Energy is stored in a 65.05 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery, providing a range of up to 510 km on the NEDC test cycle. The L6 supports up to 120 kW DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in 20 minutes. The vehicle also features 3.3 kW vehicle-to-load (V2L) capability, allowing users to power household appliances while travelling.
The L6 is equipped with cameras and sensors, along with an Nvidia Orin Y chip. The system supports Level 2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS) functions, including full-speed adaptive cruise control, forward collision warning, and lane keep assist.
Lepas has been confirmed for Malaysia, and the brand has signed distribution agreements with 20 local partners. The Lepas L4 has been spotted in Malaysia during a promotional shoot, although it remains unconfirmed whether the L4 or L6 will be launched first. With the L6 already available in Thailand, the brand's introduction in Malaysia is expected to follow.
