Neta confirms normal operations in nation despite parent's restructring

Neta Auto has confirmed that its operations in Indonesia are continuing as normal, despite the ongoing restructuring process of its parent company, Hozon New Energy Automobile.
In an official statement, the company explained that Hozon New Energy officially entered the restructuring phase on 12th June 2025, in accordance with the Company Bankruptcy Law of the People's Republic of China. This development does not affect the business activities of overseas subsidiaries, including Neta Auto Indonesia, Neta Auto Thailand, and Neta Auto Brazil.
"The entire partner network in various countries is also guaranteed to continue operating normally while maintaining close cooperation with Neta Auto Overseas," the company stated on, 21st July 2025.
Hozon New Energy emphasised that the restructuring process applies solely to the parent entity in China. Its subsidiaries and international partnerships under the Neta brand will continue to function as usual. As part of the restructuring, the Administrator of Hozon New Energy opened recruitment for prospective strategic investors on 30th June 2025, with the document submission deadline set for 30th July 2025. Several potential investors are reported to have participated in the initial selection stage.
The management expressed the expectation that the involvement of new strategic investors will facilitate operational recovery and support the company's plan to resume production in the near future. During the restructuring period, both Hozon New Energy and the Administrator are preparing measures to ensure the continued availability of spare parts and after-sales services in international markets.
"Neta Auto and the Administrator of Hozon New Energy sincerely appreciate the understanding and support from overseas partners, customers, and members of the public who have followed the development of Neta Auto," the statement added.
Previously, Fajrul Ilhami, External Affairs and Product Director of Neta Auto Indonesia, also confirmed that domestic production activities are continuing without interruption.
The company further confirmed that its collaboration with the local manufacturing partner, Handal Indonesia Motor, will proceed as scheduled until 2028.
"At present, Neta holds a cooperation contract with Handal that remains valid until 2028. The production process is also continuing as normal," stated Fajrul Ilhami on 14th June 2025.
