Nissan Thailand has unveiled three new sub-models of the Navara Calibre, designed for customers seeking a robust pickup truck with an aggressive design.
Developed under the concept of "Durable, Ready to Go", the new models are available with both manual and automatic transmission options.
These variants are offered at more accessible price points, making them easier to own than before.
"The Navara has long been a trusted name in pickup trucks for its durability and utility. The addition of these three new variants will enable customers to own a versatile pickup truck suitable for both family and business use at a competitive price," stated Toshihiro Fujiki, President of Nissan Thailand and Nissan ASEAN.
The newly introduced Navara Calibre variants are priced as follows:
- King Cab Calibre SL 7 Auto: THB 758,000 (US$ 23,300)
- Double Cab Calibre SL 6: THB 792,000
- Double Cab Calibre SL 7 Auto: THB 842,000
Powertrain options
The new Navara Calibre range offers powertrains designed to meet a variety of customer requirements.
The 7-speed automatic transmission models - available in both King Cab and Double Cab configurations - are equipped with a 2.3-litre twin-turbo diesel engine, delivering a maximum output of 190 PS and a peak torque of 450 Nm, available from just 1,500 rpm. This ensures prompt throttle response across driving conditions.
For customers preferring a manual transmission, the Double Cab SL 6 variant is powered by a 2.3-litre diesel engine with a variable geometry turbocharger (VGS Turbo), producing 160 PS and 403 Nm of torque. This version emphasises long-term durability and dependable performance.
Exterior styling
All three Navara Calibre models feature an exterior design with a black front grille and a body-coloured front bumper that includes black accents. Each model is equipped with 17-inch alloy wheels designed for general-purpose use across varied road conditions.
Suspension system
The Navara uses a one-piece steel chassis. The front suspension consists of an independent double-wishbone design with coil springs and an anti-roll bar, while the rear suspension uses a leaf spring setup with shock absorbers. This configuration is designed to provide stable handling on both urban roads and off-road surfaces.
