Suzuki to launch all-new Swift hybrid on 26th June

The new-generation Suzuki Swift, scheduled for official launch in Vietnam on 26th June, incorporates minor design updates and introduces several technological changes compared to the previous version.
Although the official debut has not yet occurred, the 2025 Swift is already available at authorised dealerships. The estimated selling price is approximately VND 569 million (US$ 21,800). The model is now imported from Japan, rather than Thailand.
Compared with earlier leaked images, the interior has now been fully revealed and includes several revised features and functions.
Interior features
The cabin is equipped with a 9.7-inch floating touchscreen display, a two-tone steering wheel, and fabric seats with integrated seat heating. The air-conditioning controls have been reconfigured for a simpler layout.
The steering wheel includes controls for Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), including adaptive cruise control and lane-keeping assist. A camera mounted above the windscreen forms part of the ADAS hardware.
Several features remain unchanged or basic:
- The vehicle retains a manual handbrake.
- The interior rear-view mirror includes only manual anti-glare adjustment.
- There is no front centre armrest, and rear air vents are not provided.
Exterior revisions
Changes to the exterior are concentrated at the front:
- Headlamps are now positioned lower below the bonnet line.
- The front grille has been enlarged and adopts a honeycomb pattern.
- The design of the rear LED tail lights has been modified.
The overall profile remains largely consistent with the previous generation.
Powertrain
The 2025 Swift is equipped with a 1.2-litre three-cylinder hybrid powertrain, combining a petrol engine with an electric motor. The combined output is approximately 82 PS and 108 Nm of torque, delivered through a continuously variable transmission (CVT).
Market positioning
In Vietnam, the Suzuki Swift competes with the Mazda2 hatchback, which is also imported from Thailand. The Mazda2 is offered in two variants, priced between VND 537 million and VND 544 million (US$ 20,570-20,840).
