On 20 March, Piaggio Vietnam officially launched the Vespa Sprint Tech series, featuring two versions with colour choices of Grey Entusiasta (grey) and Black Convinto (black), along with two engine options: 125cc and 150cc.
A distinctive highlight is the fluorescent green trim, which contributes to an overall design that is both technologically advanced and powerful. Additionally, the seat is made from high-quality materials with contrasting stitching, while the technology logo on the front storage compartment enhances the modern, elegant, and stylish appearance of the latest Vespa model.
Notably, this is the first time the Sprint series has been equipped with an Ambient Light system, providing a completely different experience. The Ambient Light illuminates from the shield behind the handlebars when starting, switching off the vehicle, and using the Keyless System to locate the scooter, allowing riders to identify their vehicle immediately. This lighting effect not only maximises convenience but also highlights the high-tech design of the Sprint Tech, affirming its modern, trendy, and stylish identity.
The newly launched Vespa Sprint Tech features a new-generation 5-inch TFT display that connects to smartphones via the VESPA MIA system. This feature is specifically designed to meet the needs of the younger generation shaping global trends, providing an exceptional user experience.
The application is specially designed to connect the scooter with smartphones. Once connected, the TFT display shows all notifications for incoming calls and messages, as well as alerts from social media. It also allows users to manage calls and playlists while providing useful information on vehicle status, driving metrics, and trip statistics.
Additionally, the Keyless System smart ignition without a key enables riders to unlock, lock, and start the scooter with a single action. The button on the electronic key allows for remote opening of the seat and assists in locating the scooter with the Bike Finder feature.
The Vespa Sprint Tech is equipped with a modern single-cylinder iGet engine, featuring a 4-stroke design with three valves. It is available in 125cc and 150cc capacities, cooled by air and equipped with an electronic fuel injection system. The Sprint Tech 125 boasts a maximum power output of 7.9 kW at 7,700 rpm, while the more powerful Sprint Tech 150 delivers 9.2 kW at 7,250 rpm.
