VinFast launches all-new VF MPV 7
Car Guide, 5 May '26
VinFast Philippines has launched its first non-SUV model in the country, the VF MPV 7.
The model represents the third international market in which it is offered and adds to the company's portfolio. It is priced at PHP 1,518,000 (US$ 24,500), or PHP 1,239,000 under a battery subscription scheme.
A monthly subscription fee of PHP 2,700 applies for distances of up to 2,000 kilometres, and PHP 4,150 for distances exceeding 2,000 kilometres.
Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin at the Philippine International Motor Show in June. Orders open from May 5th, with the first 1,000 customers eligible for a PHP 27,200 discount on battery-included purchases, or a one-year battery subscription (up to 2,000 kilometres per month) for those opting for the subscription scheme.
The VF MPV 7 is positioned as an all-electric alternative to conventional MPVs. With the MPV segment accounting for nearly 20% of total automotive sales in the Philippines, the model is intended to address key customer requirements, including interior space, performance, and ownership costs.
It measures 4,740 mm in length, 1,872 mm in width, and 1,734 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,840 mm. These dimensions provide interior space suitable for multi-generational family use. The exterior includes the brand's design elements, such as V-shaped LED daytime running lights, and is fitted with 19-inch alloy wheels.
The interior layout is configured to maximise space and practicality, including accommodation for third-row occupants. Cargo capacity extends to 1,240 litres, supporting both daily and long-distance use. The vehicle is equipped with an electric motor producing 204 PS (150 kW) and 280 Nm of torque, paired with a 60.13 kWh LFP battery. This configuration provides a driving range of up to 450 kilometres on a full charge under NEDC standards. Fast-charging capability enables the battery to charge from 10% to 70% in approximately 30 minutes.
Features include automatic climate control with a PM2.5 filter, a 10.1-inch infotainment display with four speakers, USB Type-A and Type-C ports, and PVC leather seats.
Operating costs are influenced by relatively stable energy pricing compared with petrol-powered vehicles in the same segment. Additional provisions include charging at V-Green stations across the Philippines through March 2029, a seven-year or 160,000-kilometre vehicle warranty, and a ten-year or 200,000-kilometre battery warranty.
Antonio Zara, CEO of VinFast Southeast Asia, stated, "The launch of the all-new VF MPV 7 in the Philippines marks another step forward in VinFast's global expansion strategy and demonstrates our long-term commitment to this market. With its spacious interior, strong performance, optimised operating costs, and sustainable ownership value, we believe the all-new VF MPV 7 will serve as a comprehensive upgrade for Filipino families and set a new benchmark in the MPV segment."
