Volvo to launch all-new EX30 in February, 2025

Volvo's upcoming entry-level electric SUV, the EX30, is set to launch in Taiwan in February 2025.
The announcement follows a teaser post on December 24th by the Volvo Cars Taiwan social media page, featuring the EX30 as part of its Christmas promotions.
Industry sources have indicated that dealership staff completed training for the EX30 in November, suggesting preparations for its official release.
Options and customisation
The EX30 will be available in three variants:
- Core: Rear-wheel drive with a single motor.
- Plus: Rear-wheel drive with extended range.
- Ultra: All-wheel drive with dual motors and higher specifications.
Buyers can choose from five exterior colours: black, white, grey, blue, and the new "lichen yellow" (available for mid-tier models and above). Interior options include "Recycled" and "Natural" themes.
Powertrain and range
The EX30 will offer two power configurations:
Single-motor rear-wheel drive:
- Two battery options: 51 kWh (344 km range) or 69 kWh (480 km range).
- Maximum power output: 272 PS.
Dual-motor all-wheel drive:
- 69 kWh battery with 428 hp output.
- Acceleration from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.9 seconds.
- WLTP range: 460 km.
The EX30 offers a compact SUV design, equipped with modern technology and safety features, positioned as a competitive option in the entry-level electric vehicle market.
