Dongfeng Motor's premium new energy vehicle brand, Voyah, has recently inaugurated its first smart supercharging stations, now operational in Wuhan, Shanghai, and Hefei.
These stations are equipped with state-of-the-art 2.8 cm lightweight liquid-cooled cables, ensuring noise levels do not exceed 55 dB even at full capacity.
Voyah station specifications
- The Wuhan station features five VP360 chargers, each delivering a peak power output of 360 kW.
- The Shanghai Pudong station is equipped with two VP480 chargers (480 kW peak power) and six VP120 chargers (120 kW peak power).
- The Hefei station includes two VP480 chargers (480 kW peak power) and six VP120 chargers (120 kW peak power).
In April 2024, Voyah officially announced its entry into the 800V 5C supercharging era. Its proprietary 800V silicon carbide high-voltage platform integrates several advanced technologies, such as an enhanced anode, graphite fast-ion ring, superconductive electrolyte formula, ultra-thin SEI film, and high-porosity separator membranes.
This innovative platform enables vehicles to achieve a range increase of 450 km with just a 10-minute charge.
Furthermore, Voyah is currently developing a megawatt-level charging pile capable of supporting up to 8C charging, with a peak power output of 1,000 kW for rapid energy replenishment.
The brand aims to establish a dense 6 km charging network in major urban centres. The initial phase includes 16 pilot supercharging stations, with plans to extend coverage to 95% of Chinese cities, thereby enhancing the accessibility of the charging infrastructure.
