QJMotor Indonesia is in the process of establishing a two-wheeler manufacturing facility, which is scheduled to become operational in the second half of 2025.
The Chinese motorcycle brand also intends to position Indonesia as a production hub for the Southeast Asian region.
Budi Kurniawan, Vice President of Branding & Marketing Communication at QJMotor Industry Indonesia, stated that the company is currently developing an assembly facility in the Delta Mas area, Cikarang, for the local production of both QJMotor motorcycles and spare parts.
"In the future, we will produce everything, but we will begin with the existing models. This facility is also intended for exports," Kurniawan said in Jakarta on 25th March 2025.
"Our presence here is not only to establish a factory and strengthen our position but also to assure consumers of our long-term commitment. Additionally, we plan to expand to Southeast Asia in the future," he further added.
