Chinese auto major Chery has entered the Thai automotive market with the launch of the Thailand Grand Premiere, introducing the fully electric V23 SUV and the seven-seat Tiggo 8 CSH.

As an automotive brand under Chery Automobile, the company unveiled the event, marking the official price announcement of the V23 and the debut of the Tiggo 8 CSH.

Cui Junyuan, President of the Thailand branch, outlined the market focus, stating:

"Thailand is at the heart of the ASEAN region. For us, today's launch is not only about importing cars but also about demonstrating our commitment to delivering proven technology to Thai consumers. We recognise the market's potential and are ready to work with Thai society in a sustainable way."

Jim Lee, Brand Director, noted the significance of the event: "Today we are introducing two new models at announced prices to Thai customers."

As part of the launch, pricing for three variants of the V23 was officially announced.

The V23 is a fully electric SUV with a retro boxy design, intended for urban consumers. It provides versatile interior space, technology features, and standard driving performance for everyday use.

The variants include the V23 2WD PLAY and V23 2WD Plus, both equipped with a 59.93 kWh battery, delivering a maximum power of 136 PS and maximum torque of 180 Nm. The maximum driving range is 360 km per charge (NEDC standard), with acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 11 seconds and a top speed of 140 km/h.

The V23 2WD PLAY is priced at THB 699,900 (US$ 21,600), while the 2WD Plus is priced at THB 759,900.

The V23 4WD Peak variant features an 81.76 kWh battery, providing maximum power of 211 PS and maximum torque of 292 Nm. It has a maximum driving range of 430 km per charge (NEDC standard), accelerates from 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, and has a top speed of 140 km/h. The 4WD Peak is priced at THB 889,900.

Promotional offers for the V23 are valid until 31st October 2025. The SUV is available in five colours: Dynamic Green, Vibe Orange, Sporty White, Ignite Black, and Sparkle Silver.

The Tiggo 8 CSH (Chery Super Hybrid) is designed for family use, offering performance, efficiency, a spacious cabin, and standard safety technologies.

The Tiggo 8 CSH is available in two variants:

- Tiggo 8 CSH PHEV 2WD Esteem: Maximum power of 204 PS, maximum torque of 310 Nm, combined driving range of 1,200 km, acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds, top speed 180 km/h.
- Tiggo 8 CSH PHEV 4WD Elite: Maximum power of 358 PS, maximum torque of 520 Nm, combined driving range of 1,200 km, acceleration from 0-100 km/h in 6.8 seconds, top speed 180 km/h.

As part of a pre-order campaign, a discount of THB 10,000- and a gift worth THB 5,000- is offered for reservations made between the launch date and 31 October 2025. 'Terms and conditions apply.

The Tiggo 8 CSH is available in four colours: Aura Green, Crystal Black, Emerald Grey, and Ivory White. The launch event included an experience zone where attendees could view both models. The event was open to the public, with special promotions available for customers who made reservations.
