Ford's e-commerce platform is about to launch in Vietnam with the sale of new versions of Ranger and Everest.
After revealing information about Ranger Stormtrak and Everest Platinum in March 2024, Ford Vietnam will announce the price details of the new product duo on April 11th through the event taking place in Ho Chi Minh City.
Besides, the American car company also said that it will launch an e-commerce platform to serve Vietnamese customers.
Currently, the domestic automobile market has a few brands selling cars online to increase the reach of users. Car buyers can choose the model, version, interior and exterior colours before depositing, paying and receiving the car at the dealer.
For the Ford Ranger Stormtrak, this will be a new version of the US pickup line with the position on the Wildtrak version and below the Ranger Raptor.
The price of Ranger Stormtrak is predicted to be more than VND 1 billion (US$ 40,000). In the near future, Mitsubishi Triton 2024 and Toyota Hilux will also be upgraded to a new version to compare with Ford's pick-up line.
Meanwhile, the Platinum variant will have the most expensive price in Ford Everest 2024 versions with a rumour of about VND 1.7 billion.
In the current mid-size 7-seater SUV segment, the notable competitors of Everest Platinum include Toyota Fortuner Legender 2.8AT 4x4, Mitsubishi Pajero Sport Diesel 4x4 AT, Hyundai Santa Fe Hybrid or Sorento Plug-in Hybrid.
Ford's two rookies do not have a 3.0-litre V6 engine like the new Ranger and Everest versions launched in Thailand.
Instead, Ranger Stormtrak and Everest Platinum together use a powerful 2.0-litre Bi-Turbo diesel engine with 210 PS and a towing power of 500 Nm. Combined with that is a 10-speed automatic transmission and 4x4 drive system with many off-road support modes.
