GAC Group's electric vehicle brand, Aion, continues its expansion in Hong Kong by appointing APMS Group as its second designated agent, following the initial partnership with Harmony Automobile earlier this year.
The new GAC flagship store, located on the 7th floor of Fortune Metropolis Plaza, Hung Hom, officially opened today, marking a significant step in GAC's growing presence in the Hong Kong market.
The showroom, which spans an area of 6,400 square feet, was inaugurated with a notable opening event. Among the guests were Wei Haigang, general manager of GAC International, Zheng Chunqi, Deputy General Manager of GAC Aion, Wang Shunsheng, deputy general manager of GAC International, APMS CEO Zeng Lintang, metaphysician Mai Lingling, and television artist Chen Wei.
During the event, Zeng Lintang highlighted Hong Kong's strategic importance in GAC's globalisation plans. Wei Haigang also emphasised that the opening of the Hung Hom showroom represents another milestone for GAC in the Hong Kong market. He further praised APMS as a strong automotive agent capable of enhancing GAC's service offerings and promoting the brand's commitment to "leading quality, technological innovation."
The GAC flagship store features three of the latest models launched in Hong Kong. These include the Aion Y Plus, a 5-door SUV electric vehicle priced from HKD 199,000 (US$ 25,540), the pure electric Eurowing door right-hand-drive Hyptec HT starting at HKD 360,000, and the luxury 7-seater GAC E9 PHEV plug-in hybrid MPV with a starting price of approximately HKD 600,000.
Additionally, APMS has established a 7,000-square-foot after-sales service centre in Kowloon Bay to meet the maintenance needs of Aion car owners, further strengthening its customer support in the region.
Looking ahead, GAC plans to introduce more electric and hybrid models in 2025 to meet the rising demand for sustainable mobility solutions in Hong Kong.
