The all-new GAC Aion UT electric vehicle was officially launched on the evening of December 19 at Six Mansions, Harbour City, Tsim Sha Tsui.
The Hong Kong version of the Aion UT is priced at HKD 149,988 (US$ 19,270), or HKD 142,800 under the one-for-one trade-in scheme.
Following its public preview at the IMXpo Hong Kong International Auto Show last week, the all-new UT made its official debut in Hong Kong on 19th December.
Wang Shunsheng, Deputy General Manager of GAC International, stated that the brand had successfully entered the top five in Hong Kong's electric vehicle market between January and November, reflecting strong local support for its EV models, including the Aion V and ES.
Zhang Fan, Chief Design Officer of GAC Group, provided guests with a detailed explanation of the interior and exterior design features of the new UT electric compact car.
The Hong Kong-spec UT is equipped with a 60kWh lithium battery and a single-motor front-wheel-drive system, producing 204 PS and 210 Nm of torque.
It offers an NEDC-rated driving range of 500km and supports DC fast charging at up to 87kW. A key selling point of the UT is its compact footprint combined with an exceptionally spacious interior.
The vehicle measures 4,270mm in length, 1,850mm in width, and 1,575mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,750mm - identical to the Mercedes-Benz A-Class - providing generous rear legroom.
Eight exterior colour options and three interior colour schemes are available. Standard equipment includes an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster, a 14.6-inch central touchscreen with navigation and intelligent voice control, faux leather seats, front air-conditioning, a wireless charging pad, a power tailgate, and a suite of active safety assistance systems.
Pricing is set at HKD 149,988, or HKD 142,800 with the one-for-one trade-in programme applied.
