Geely Philippines has outlined its product and market roadmap leading into 2026, indicating plans to expand its local lineup across multiple vehicle segments.
During a recent press event, the company presented its 2025 developments, upcoming models, and business targets aimed at improving its market position by 2026.
Geely Philippines' 2025 developments
In February 2025, Geely Philippines relaunched its brand under new management through Geely Automotive International Corporation (GAIC). Following this leadership change, the automaker introduced new models locally, including the EX5 and the Geely Okavango Elite.
The EX5 is the brand's first full-electric SUV offered in the local market, equipped with an 11-in-1 intelligent electric drive system and fast-charging capability, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in under 20 minutes. The Geely Okavango Elite is a seven-seat hybrid SUV with seven individual seats.
Geely Philippines also expanded customer engagement initiatives through mall displays featuring the EX5 and Okavango Elite, promotional activities, and upgrades to its parts warehouse to maintain parts availability.
Models planned for 2026
The presentation also outlined several models planned for introduction in 2026, based on internal product codes. While model names may be revised upon local release, the following vehicles were identified.
Galaxy Starship 7
Scheduled for a first-quarter 2026 launch, the Galaxy Starship 7 is a plug-in hybrid electric vehicle under the brand's Galaxy new-energy lineup. The model is intended for the midsize electrified SUV segment and features updated in-cabin technology.
EX2
Planned for release in the second quarter of 2026, the EX2 is a battery-electric compact hatchback for urban use. Also known as the Xingyuan in China, the model is an entry-level option in the brand's electrified vehicle range, with focus on space efficiency, driving range, and onboard technology.
Monjaro
Targeted for a third-quarter 2026 release, the Monjaro is a premium SUV with driver-focused technology and interior features. Exterior design includes a distinctive front grille and lighting, while the interior is expected to include electronically adjustable seats with massage functions and an infotainment system running on the Geely One operating system.
Geely-badged Proton Saga
Geely Philippines plans to introduce a sedan in the fourth quarter of 2026 for the entry-level segment. The model is a Geely-badged version of the Proton Saga, developed on the Advanced Modular Architecture platform through Geely's partnership with Malaysian automaker Proton. It is expected to be powered by a petrol engine.
Emgrand hybrid
Also planned for the fourth quarter of 2026 is the plug-in hybrid variant of the Emgrand sedan. The model is expected to include updated exterior styling, increased body dimensions, and interior technology enhancements compared with the previous generation.
Outlook
In addition to planned model launches, Geely Philippines aims to expand its dealer network by adding more than 40 dealerships by the end of 2026. The company has set targets to rank second among Chinese automotive brands in the local market and eighth overall in terms of vehicle sales.
