Great Wall Motors (GWM) has announced that the Chinese brand will assemble cars locally in Indonesia in 2024.
Currently, GWM has started sales for the Haval H6 and GWM Tank 500. However, both cars still come in completely built unit (CBU) form from the Rayong, Thailand factory.
Later, for the completely knocked down (CKD) version, GWM said they will use the Wanaherang factory, West Java. This factory is also used to assemble local Mercedes-Benz.
In Indonesia, the GWM Tank 500 HEV is priced at IDR 1.1 billion (US$ 75,350), while the GWM Haval H6 HEV is priced at IDR 60 million.
