Octavianus Dwi Putro, the Marketing Director of Astra Honda Motor (AHM), has expressed hope that the new Indonesian government will extend the electric motorcycle incentives. He believes these incentives can significantly boost electric motorcycle sales in the country.

"The subsidy will be very helpful. We are also communicating with the government, maximising this communication. When the deadline is announced, we will adhere to it and inform consumers to take advantage of it promptly," said Octavianus during a meeting in Cikarang on 23rd August 2024.

Despite expressing optimism, Octavianus, commonly known as Octa, stated that "AHM will abide by the government's decision regarding the continuation of electric motorcycle incentives."

"Yes, we hope for an extension, but it depends on the policies set by the government," he further added.

Honda has received incentives for its electric motorcycle, the 'EM1 e:'. This model, Honda's first electric motorcycle in Indonesia, is priced at IDR 33 million (approximately US$ 2,150) after applying the subsidies.
