Ducati released its new single-cylinder bike at the Esposisione Internasionale Ciclo Motociclo Accessori (EICMA) in 2023: the Hypermotard 698 Mono.
Access Plus has now officially launched the bike in Philippines.
Hypermotard 698 Mono has made its debut with a design that builds on its award-winning styling from EICMA 2023. It retains the iconic aggressive Hypermotard look, featuring inverted shocks, high exhaust, and road tires, but does away with the exposed trellis frame.
The highlight here is the engine, which is a 659cc Superquadro Mono that puts out 77.5 PS at a whopping 10,250rpm and 63 Nm of torque at 8,000rpm. The powertrain has the same 116 millimetre bore and 62.4 millimetre stroke derived from the Panigale. With a Termignoni racing exhaust in track configuration, power jumps to 84.5PS.
It comes with 17-inch wheels shod in Pirelli Diablo Rosso IV tires. Stopping power is handled by a 330 millimetre aluminium front disc with a Brembo M4.32 calliper and a 245 millimetre rear disc with a single-piston floating calliper. Overall, it weighs just 151 kilogrammes when wet and has a 904 millimetre, 35.6-inch seat height.
The bike gets Bosch Cornering ABS for both the front and rear wheels. Other features include multiple ride modes, Ducati Traction Control, Ducati Wheelie Control, and Ducati Quick Shift.
Hypermotard 698 Mono price starts at PHP 790,000 (US$ 14,000) for the base variant, while the higher RVE trim goes for PHP 845,000.
