Kia K3 hatchback in China by April

The Kia K3 hatchback will debut at the Beijing Auto Show in April and will be launched in China soon after. The car has been delayed a lot but the K3 sedan was launched in China back in October 2012. The K3 hatchback will be made in China by the Dongfeng-Yueda-Kia joint venture that also makes the sedan and various other Kia's for the Chinese auto market. Power will come from a 143 HP, 1.8-litre engine or from a 125 HP, 1.6-litre unit, both mated to a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic. Prices will start around 90,000 yuan (US$ 14,800) and end around 130,000 yuan. The current China-made Kia K3 sedan price starts at 102,800 yuan (US$ 16,900) and ends at 143,800 yuan. It has the same engines as the Kia hatch.
